In the shadow of Queen Victoria

Barack Obama's recent visit to Ghana was well followed by the world media because it was his first to sub-Saharan Africa since his election. On the trip, he visited Cape Coast, a city about 2 hours from Accra. Cape Coast used to be the colonial capital of Ghana during the British invasion. There still stands this bust of Queen Victoria in a park named after her but now christened the Jubilee Park.
